Product and Process:

Eric Brand is known for creative use of materials. The below describes the range of materials Eric Brand utilizes and how they function.

Wood

All wood veneers selected are finest grade available in multiple variations of pattern, color and closed or open pore finishes. The range displayed on website and actual samples are an average representation of the veneer and will vary with each order. We will ensure maximum adherence to an acceptable range for color, quality and texture. Please simply be aware that no exact match is possible with these natural products. Checks and small cracks in the veneer are normal in the aging process and are not considered damage they simply add to the beauty of your unique piece of furniture.

Leather

Our leathers are full grain and have natural markings (e.g. texture variations, stretch marks, color etc) enhanced in the aniline dye process. We make no efforts to correct or modify the hides and take great pride in hand selecting them so you will experience the most natural and luxurious look and feel in your one of a kind seating and or leather wrapped piece of furniture.

Horn, bone, shagreen and shell

Horn, bone, shagreen (Sting Ray) and shell are discarded by-products gathered and re-purposed as exotic finish options for furniture, lighting and accessories. Horn shell and bone are available as mosaic tiles. Shagreen is available in multiple colors in closed (smooth) or open (exposed grain) finishes and vary in hide sizes. Variations in color and texture are natural and part of the beauty in a hand crafted Eric Brand item. Items manufactured with these materials cannot be exposed to excessive sunlight or intense heat which will cause discoloration or de-lamination over time.
